Mastering Plea Negotiations - Strategies for Criminal Defense Counsel (Session 2)

Elevate your plea negotiation skills in this second of a two-part series on plea negotiations. This 90 minute session will cover essential strategies for dealing with common negotiation games, i.e., limited authority, good cop/bad cop, and verbal attacks, addressing errors, perceptions, and biases. Finally, it will also highlight dealing with negotiation styles – conflict avoiders, accommodators, and competitors and agenda control strategies.

  • Establish fair and reasonable plea offers.
  • Craft effective offers and design an offer concession strategy.
