Understanding and Evaluating DNA Evidence in Capital Cases (Rule 801 Credit)
DNA evidence is often viewed as infallible by jurors and judges. However, DNA testing often produces complex results that are difficult to interpret and may be unreliable and legally inadmissible. This webinar will provide an overview of how DNA evidence is analyzed and interpreted by labs and the issues surrounding each. We will discuss issues that may arise in your cases including issues of admissibility, interpretation of DNA results using conventional tools and probabilistic genotyping.
This webinar is approved for one Rule 801 credit by the Pennsylvania CLE Board. PACDL is an accredited distance learning provider in Pennsylvania.
