Help Shape the Future of PACDL

PACDL’s Board of Directors plays a vital role in guiding the Association’s mission, managing risk, and setting strategic priorities. Each year, we seek committed, passionate members to step forward and help lead our organization.

We are building a Board that reflects a broad mix of experience, perspectives, and backgrounds—ensuring both fresh ideas and steady leadership. If you’re ready to take a more active role in advancing criminal defense in Pennsylvania, we encourage you to apply.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking members who:

  • Bring diverse skills, experiences, and viewpoints.

  • Are committed to PACDL’s mission and values.

  • Can dedicate time and energy to help guide the organization.

  • Are willing to make a meaningful financial contribution to support PACDL.

How to Apply

To be considered for a seat on the Board, please send a letter of interest outlining your service to PACDL, leadership experience, and qualifications to pacdl@pacdl.org between October 15 and November 30.

All nominations will be reviewed by the Board Governance Committee, which develops a slate of officers and directors to be presented at PACDL’s Annual Membership Meeting. Elected board members serve a three year term.

Additional Paths to Nomination

Any PACDL member qualified to vote may be nominated for an Officer or Board position in one of three ways:

  1. By the Board Governance Committee

  2. By petition from another voting member

  3. By self-nomination with petition

To submit a petition, you must gather at least 20 signatures from current PACDL members. If you intend to nominate yourself or someone else by petition, please contact the office for the submission deadline.
